Finches are easy birds to care for.
They are small birds that are active
and fun to watch and quiet when it
comes to vocalization (chirps and
peeps that most people find easy to
tolerate).  Although small, they need a
fairly large cage in order to have flight
room.  The length of the cage is more
important than the height.  All finches
are social and should be kept in pairs.
4 males and 1 female have been
adopted and the last two have
sponsors and will be going home by
Christmas 2007.  Finches usually live
from 5 - 15 years.  These particular
finches are 2 month old siblings.

Cockatoo Night Call

I am a sweet bird as you can tell.  I
am people loving bird who has had
only one guardian.  I LOVE to be
snuggled and scratched.  I am not
suited for apartment living.  I am a
young bird at the age of 11 and can
live for a very long time, up to 80
years.  As an umbrella cockatoo, I
measure 18 inches at maturity. with
my cute bill and sparkle black eyes,
I have a very happy appearance.
